I've been thinking about doing a fire training course, and I'll probably want to do one later on this year. Does anyone have any recommendations for trainers in the East Mids region that are both reasonable, in terms of cost, and professional, in terms of delivery?
I've already looked at the ones being offered by IOSH, but was wondering what else is available.

What do you want to train in, fire risk assessment or other aspects of fire? Try the Fire Service Training Colledge at Morton in Marsh, they did some FRA training back a few years ago and forgetting all the profit making training organisations out there are probably nearer the mark for FRA training.

Have you got the NEBOSH fire certificate?
If not, ever considered it? There are a few providers in the East Midlands and I can highly recommend two of them.

No, I've got my NEBOSH General, and my Professional Diploma in Safety, Health and Environmental Management. For now, I want a break from studying/exams.

Hi, I'm now considering this route. Would you be kind enough to pm me your recommendations?
Thanks

Just got back from a two-day train the trainer course run by the FPA at Morton in Marsh; course was excellent, they also do a five day FRA course and this can be taken as a step towards the CFPA Diploma.
see the FPA website for more details (I have no commercial interest or affiliation with the FPA); just a happy customer.

Thanks for the recommendation. Sadly, my budget doesn't stretch that far as I'm still looking for work.

I have done a few courses over the years including ones at Morton - as stated here very good.
The FPA ones at Warwick University are also very good.
I have done the NEBOSH FC - did not recon much to it.
I am attending the Advanced Fire Safety Manager Course with Vulcan very soon as all parties I have spoken to highly recommend them.
