Network Rail to be prosecuted over 2007 Grayrigg Crash

It transpires that the Office for Rail Regulation (ORR) are pursuing a prosecution of Network Rail under Section 3(1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 regarding the crash involving an express train on the West Coast Main Line at Grayrigg in Cumbria in February 2007. One person died and 88 persons were injured in the crash which allegedly occurred because of poor maintenance of points. For more details see http://www.bbc.co.uk/new...england-cumbria-16544694
