Hi folks
hoping someone can help me out here.
I am looking to work out the SWL of a rope that has a breaking strength of 11,800 Kg.
I know I have seen a conversion table in the past but cant find it now.
cheers
Trevor

Without due consideration to any previous damage, over straining, chafes, cuts, fraying, un-ravelling, total time exposure to UV light, oil contamination, water ingress and any other issues that I cannot think about at this moment in time, phew, pause for breath. I would consider going for 2,360 kg.

If it's going to be used to support the weight of people the SWL is 10% of the 'MINIMUM' breaking strain
