Can anyone assist please? I've been tasked with producing a procurement specification in order to procure a contract for licensed asbestos removal contractors and analytical companies to support that. I'm not wanting to re-invent the wheel so if anyone would be willing to share something with me I'd be really grateful. My organisation is a large social landlord so we're operating in a domestic environment most of the time, flats house, tower blocks and the like; stock is of various ages. I think I'm almost there with the contractor side, but the analyst bit is where I'm sure I need more in terms of codes of practice, regulation, qualifications, etc. Thanks in advance.

Max, I recommend downloading HSG 264 (free) - Asbestos: the Survey Guide. It set out standards required for surveyors and surveys. Unlike previous asbestos survey guides, this one is well set out and is straightforward. PH2

Are we able to put recommendations of analytical organisations on here? My experience is that there are good and bad analytical organisations, I have actually banned one organisation from my site, clearly I wont state who.
