Guys
I hope your week has been better than mine....forget blue monday, this was black week
Any way, cap in hand .....
Has anyone got a template or an copy I can have of a Risk Assessment for an office worker who has declared retrospectivley after appointemnt they have epilepsy.
I have doen a one to one with the person to identify medication prescribed , type and duration of seizures trigger points role they are currently doing, duration of seizures, and am looking at the reasonable adjustments we as an employer can make etc
Have keyed up the office first aiders and requested they refresh there memories to how to administor first aid.
The risk assessment will be produced with a prescriptive care plan and both will have full involvement of the person for review and sign off.
If anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction as to where i could get my hands on one they will certainly be at the top of my xmas card list
thanks in anticipation
L

Hi L.
Sorry, I dont have any specific RAs on this, but you can try this link:

In light of another thread at the moment, you might want to consider a robust PEEP (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan) with them as well.
Good luck!

Your going to need more information about the condition before you can consider adjustments required.

L sounds like you have pretty much started the key points of the risk assessment...don't have a template and alot will depend on the patients own management of the condition and you can't force them to do that...your first aiders need to be aware of what to do for the type of epilepsy concerned.
I have PM you if you want someone to have a second look at your RA from a pre-hospital/FA point of view..
You sound pretty much to be going along the right lines so might not have much to add...just use your routine RA covering that job function but specific to that individual...Also take note of the requirement of fire evac...especially if you have flashing lighs going off...
Hope this helps...
