Hi, i'm trying to implement an MOC process for my food manufacturing site to manage changes in a documented and controlled manner. I have drafted a procedure and checklist which links to other procedures like Purchasing purchase and chemical management procedure. The problem i have in drafting the procedure is the criteria and when it is required to be implemented. Also, in the food industry there is always difficulties relating to emergency change requirments where product loss, immediate safety concerns or environment concerns may be present and a full MOC checking and balance programme will not be practical to use. My thoughts are to structure the MOC into 3 sections: 1) Temporary Change - quick fix to solve an immediate issues (damaged or failed guarding, etc) 2) Minor Change - Simple Notification Process and sign with small group of identified staff 3) Major Change - full checklist & process required. I'm struggling a bit to make this workable and not because a adminstration nightmare but robust enough to work. Would anyone, especially food manufacturing, be available to have a discussion with me on this issue and maybe do a bit of benchmarking between our procedures? Cheers,
