yes I am currently working in Qatar as a senior level health and safety sup./coordinator, working here is not for everyone you either like it or hate it, they work very different here and health and safety is not thair number one but progress is, it is very difficult to implement safety here as they dont really care unless you work for the big petrochemical companies they are very good but the construction industry is a nightmare when it comes to safety think twice before deciding to come here to work for a construction company but the oil and gas sector are good they follow safety very well.

I have.

Great place to work but be prepared for some very, very high temperatures.

Agree some sectors hard going and the oil and gas are the leaders but even they have issues as there is a very international flavour to workforce.

People generally ok, food great (found a KFC), booze very expensive.

I would go back in a minute.

I disagree with cornelius slightly... there are good and bad contractors out here...same as uk....

But with the release of QCS 2010, things are hopefully comin gup to the standards we expect to see.... just hope that it can be enforced
