I am looking for advice to improve my job prospects.
I have been working in Health and safety for 2 years.
I have a degree in Health and Safety management, NEBOSH Certificate, I also have an environmental qualification allowing me to be IEAMA and I also have the City & Guilds 7303 cert for Training(I have trained SMSTS etc)
However, i cannot find a job,or when I have had a job it has been with unscrupulous employers,( The last company i worked with charged employees for PPE, when I highlighted this was illegal, I was sacked, 3 weeks before xmas.
I am looking for advice in how I can improve my job prospects and actually get a career to make all the years of study worthwhile.
Therefore I am looking to do an auditing course, which would mean I have qualifications in HSE and Quality.
Should I do a quality internal auditor or lead auditor course?
Or?
Any advice would be greatly appreciatted.

Hope you reported this to the HSE, and you should be looking at employment tribunal, as you cannot be sacked for reporting an employers shortcomings in Health & Safety!
On the subject of QA qualifications, I would suggest you look at the Chartered Quality Institute website which will give you plenty of advice and guidance.
Being experienced and qualified in Quality is not just a matter of attaining an Auditors certificate, there is a lot more to it than just that, but it auditing systems to ISO 9001 standards is a good starting point, and the experience will indeed assist you in interpreting and auditing other management standards.
As the pinnacle, look to attain chartered quality status as a career goal as well.
Please feel free to PM me if you need further assistance/guidance on QHSE issues, etc
