Looking for confirmation regarding scaffold inspection and frequency, scenario is that we will inspect at hand over with the scaffold contractor, it will then be used for 1-2 days to allow removal of asbestos soffits and fascias within the first 7 days, then it may be 2-3 weeks before used again, therefore can we stop inspecting after the first week and then re-inspect prior to use. Many Thanks PaulR

Sounds like you need a better system of work planning! If there is any chance of interference or weather exposure then the scaffold must be inspected. Where outside and in a public place I would always advocate regular inspection - daily if at all possible.

Take the access ladders away and clearly mark 'do not use'. Re-inspect before use for the second time. Is it in a public place? If so take it down between uses, kids etc.
