We have been experiencing transformer (500 KVA) tripping and on carrying out transformer oil analysis, it was found that it contains high levels of flammable gases which is of a serious H&S threat.

These transformers are still active and providing for regional road lighting in our area of jurisdiction. Can someone suggest precautions/ preparedness for any disaster resulting due to these gas build up, besides isolating/ decommissioning these transformers.

Any help shall be appreciated !
Regards,
Prads

Obviously a problem.
The analysis having been carried out, you now have to find someone to use that data to diagnose the problem.
Hydrogen along with methane may mean there is an electrical fault within the unit causing a "spark".
I don't think that ventilation is in order as that would increase moisture.

Would need more info on the oil analysis results.
Do you not have an electrical engineer responsible for your HV plant that understands this?
When I get my oil analysis results back the Dr in the lab is more than willing to discuss any queries I have with the interpretation of their data presentation.
