To save reinventing the wheel can anyone provide me with a template for a personal emergency evacuation procedure at all? The procedure is for a member of staff with slight mobility problem. He is not wheelchair bound and is able to walk unassisted and without use of stick etc albeit just not as quick on his feet as other members of staff and he has no other disabilities. Many thanks in advance

Hi safetybod, given your description I wonder whether a PEEP is really needed for this person. Given their possible locations within your site, can they navigate the escape route within the desired evacuation time at the same time as everybody else, without assistance? If yes, job done. If not, the person themselves may be best placed to assist you in the preparation of the plan.

We a a similar situation and found a "buddy" system benefical . It is just that little bit more structured than an assisting "friend" and it need not be too onerous to implement preserving the dignity of the person requiring assistance.
