I have a client who has been asked to shread large volumes of old x-rays. They have approached me to advise on the potential health concerns particularly with regard to the exposure to dust.
X-rays I know contain silver and a variety of heavy metals so would it be advisable to monitor for total and respirable dust and analyse for a suite of these metals?
Has anyone had experienece of this ? Thanks

Take care here - there are Data Protection issues that must be met as well as the potential for recovery of silver from these products. Not too sure that shredding is the right way to process these - ytou may get a better steer from a reputable recycling company see:

(I have absolutely no interest financial or other in the above company)
