As part of a risk assessment process for working on roofs the strength of the roof needs to be established along with consideration for tools and persons working on it. What are the common practices for establishing if they are safe to step foot on – structural survey PA? The two large flat roofs in question are over 40+ years old, but one has been re-felted in last 5 years before my time in post. Thanks for the help. Jon

Difficult, and even structural engineers get it wrong sometimes, especially if the roof in question is a proprietary system.
