Hello all
Some advice needed urgently please....scenario
I have been trying to break into a full time employed health and safety role and I have been invited to attend an interview with a major airline company next week. PROBLEM...as I have applied for jobs through recruitment agencies I have been directly contacted in this situ by the employer and I have no job description to go by in terms of preparation...the letter states health and safety officer and obviously could involve quite a wide remIt...in preparation I have been looking at areas as outlined in HSG209 Aircraft Turnaround and also CAPS642 Airside Safety Management, basing my preparation on this. Could anyone give me some other indicators as to where I should be concentrating my focus apart from aircraft turnaround and safety systems? It would be great if some of the members could share their experineces of interviews for airport health and safety officers positions and what this entailed. I know that there will be a panel interviewing me and that the interview will be of 1.5 hours duration with an excercise throw in for good measure.
Any advice greatfully accepted
Thanks guys
Eagerly await responses
G

Gordon, It's not a "problem" how you put it. Just get in touch with the person that contacted you and ask to be e-mailed the job description, it shows intuitive . It's ok to ask, you are checking them out as much as they are checking you out.
