Hi Guys
I made enquiries regarding Health and Safety NVQ qualification and I was told I have to be in an employment before I could enrol on that course. Unfortunately, I'm not in a Safety related role. Presently hold the NEBOSH Certificate with a Teaching qualification(PTLLS).
Can any company out there offer me 1 or more days a week unpaid emloyment so as to enable me to commence an NVQ qualification. I come from a Production/Manufacturing and local Authority background. Based in Nottingham

I advise that you make up some flyer's advertising yourself and what you want and can offer and 'get on your bike' and cover [ door knock etc.] all the industrial estates in your area. Expect a lot of hard work [or you may be lucky] either way without throwing your net wide you will never know?
Please note that this is not a flippant statement as I have used this system myself over many years and I have paid for many holidays out of the outcome of my bike riding and door knocking!
Also get in touch with your local Nottingham IOSH branch for more ideas/leads
Best of luck

I agree with you Bob.
The NVQ is based on what you do in your working time and there are elements that must be demonstrated to the assessor without which it would be impossible to complete the NVQ.
There are lot's of people out there that would welcome 'free helping hands' - but don't take on anything that may be out of your comfort zone, just in case.
I hope it all goes well for you.
