I am trying to source door furniture to provide a highly secure final exit door. This is for a premises with highly valuable stock, situated in a dodgy crime ridden environment. The occupiers currently use a push bar plus 4 x key operated mortise locks!!!!!!!! The door needs to be able to be locked securely closed by bolts that operate into all four sides of the door frame, but be openable by a single operation - say a push pad or push bar or similar quick release device. About 30 persons may need to pass through the opening during an evacuation I know they are out there as I recall seeing a door with a circular 'hub', surface mounted in the middle of the inside of the door, and having 4 long bolts leading off of the hub in all four directions (N,S,E &W!). The hub is turned/rotated by a simple handle and all four bolts are retracted out of the frame to open. Alternatively, what about a standard panic bolt fixing with two vertical bolts as opposed to one which is the norm? Any ideas or pointers would be gratefully received

Hi Messy, I think I know what you are trying to describe, it's like a bulkhead or storm door on a ship. I've got a store that had those installed when we took it on. I think they still in place.

Hi Messy, you could try the "RedBook Live" site. You should look for an LPCB (Loss Protection Security Board) 4 rated door. http://www.redbooklive.com/ PH2
