Hi,

Can anyone recommend a software package that is easy and cheap to use for drawing fire plans for offices and buildings etc?

I am currently using microsoft word which is not ideal.

Many thanks

Cap lock! Gets you every time when you are a 'hunt & peck' typist!*

Anyway, Google's free Sketchup is another option.

* highlight the text that is all in capitals then hold down the shift key...tap F3 (top row) until the format you want appears; you have three choices:

1. ALL CAPITALS
2. no capitals
3a Every Word Capitalised If No Full Stop At The End Of The Highlighted Text or
3b Just the first word capitalised if there is a full stop at the end of the highlighted text!

Other than 'CAD' style programs, you could try open office 'draw'. It's another freebie and very intuitive to use.
