Hello We are dealing with a query about a number of staff who occasionally receive static shocks in an office environment. Aside from clothing, possible use of mats and building structure, are there any people out there that have resolved a similar issue? I noted on an HSE document that low humidity can also potentially increase the issue. Thanks for your help. Ian

Ian We've had this problem in the past. If you do a search for carpet bug on this site, you'll find previous discussions on the topic.

There is an old but true stpry of a lady on the toilet who created static and ignited methane in the pan. It is nearly Friday so I just may get away with this one.
