Does anyone know of any legislation or regulations covering H&S in gyms? Is there anything that dictates space required per person working out in an area, or per piece of equipment in an area? Grateful if anyone can direct me to some information. Thanks Andrea

Not sure if there are specfic regulations but I normally work on the basis that if you can hit someone in the gob whilst training then there is a strong possiblity that you are too close.

No regulations as far as I am aware but try Sport England they have a guidance note entitled "Fitness and Exercise Spaces –Design Guidance Note" which may be of some use.
