I was so pleased this morning to receive a letter from IOSH recommending me for Chartered Membership. Hope all goes well at the Ratification Meeting.
Good luck to all that have recently attended their Peer Review Interview and those that are waiting to attend.

Hi Alan,
My advice would be to be yourself, they really do put you at ease and as mentioned before on this forum they are not trying to trip you up.
I found the feedback form on the MYIOSH section of the site very helpful. Go to MyIOSH, then MY IPD, Peer Review Interview and their is a link on the page that says feedback form. This will give you an idea of what the Panel is looking for answers to and tell them how it fits in to your experiences with health and safety.
Keep your power point to the timescale of 15 minutes and know the IOSH Code Of Conduct.
Send me a message if I can be of any further help.
Thanks to those who have posted comments of congratulations. I know it is not fully achieved yet, but it is a great feeling knowing I have got this far.

Congratulations to all who want to take this route I have recently decided to take the route myself, but please remember that producing your membership card to show your Chartered member will not impress everyone there are some great fully qualified practitioners out thier who have for one reason or another have decided not to go through the process. Being Chartered member does not make you the fountain of all knowledge

In addition to the advice echoed by Hogan about knowing the IOSH Code of Conduct, it's worth checking that you know that the I in IOSH stands for 'Institution', not 'Institute'. Rumour has it that some interview panel members take a dim view of candidates who think it means Institute. If so, are such panel members being pedantic about this? I think not, as failure to notice and use the correct word may be indicative of poor observation and inadequate attention to detail.
