Thank you all in advance of your help. Can anyone advise other than building regulations and the fire reform order where fire door specifications can be found ? In addition should all final exit doors in a school be push bar types ? I am trying to double check some information so any help is appreciated. Can you email jh.safety@yahoo.co.uk Kind regards Joe

Have a look at DfE Building Bulletin 100 - Design for fire safety in schools. Also try and get hold of an older DfEE document called The Fire Safety Guide (it may be out of print). With regard to fire doors and door furniture the following link may be of interest. Scroll down to the door furniture and ironmongery section. Hope this helps. http://www.firesafe.org.uk/fire-doors/

No ties to these people whatsoever, but the BWF has loads of free technical publications which you might find useful. http://www.bwf.org.uk/publications/fire-doors

You could try the following link http://www.communities.g...ents/fire/pdf/150865.pdf which has details on fire doors etc from about page 51/52 I think. I hope that it's of use. Regards Phil.
