Morning all. Our company recently became a registered Site Safety Plus training centre, and we intend to deliver SMSTS and SSSTS courses to our own staff and that of our supply chain. As part of the process I was labouring under the (mis)apprehension that the materials (PowerPoint slides etc) required to deliver the course would be available, if not as part of the registration fee then to buy separately. Apparently not! I personally do not have the time to draft a set of notes up from scratch, and would be interested in purchasing a set from another source. I am not after a hand-out (though would obviously be appreciative of free advice), and am willing to pay the market rate. I'd be extremely grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. Regards, J-O

Drop an email to John Wynn at mailto:j.wynn@jpwconsulting.co.uk He might be able to assist you with this. However I am surprised your organisation were accreditted to provide without having the material available. I am presuming that you are the CITB accreditted trainer?

Sorry but do not forget also, as I just did, that there are set course books that must be provided to each candidate. This seems a costly approach to train what would likely be a relatively small number and the economics for you would be very marginal. But as |I said above - talk to John. Bob

There is also a requirement to follow the CITB guidance regarding delivery and content. I have a copy of this if it may be of help. Regards, Steve

Thanks for the responses, chaps. Bob, I realise that GE700 and the like must be provided to each candidate. That's not a problem, as I can get them readily from Construction Skills. The issue is the course *content*. Construction Skills (Site Safety Plus) did not ask to see a copy of any materials, which I thought was odd. I will contact John Wynn, as directed. Thanks for the tip-off. J-O
