If anyone can offer a shadowing opportunity (within 50 mile radius of junction 20 on the M1) to a member of my IOSH district who is currently unemployed, please contact me. The member, whose background is engineering and manufacturing, needs this experience to assist him to complete his CPD cycle which closes in November 2012

The British Safety Council have a Manufacturing Sector Interest Group, of which I am a member. I am sure there a members 'up north' who may be able to help so it may be worth contacting the BSC...

Sharon - for CPD you don't need to be in a workplace. Are you sure that is what he needs? Of course, shadowing is an excellent idea in order to gain more skills while he is unemployed, so I wish him well.
