Hi and apologies for bringing this subject up again - I have searched previous posts and relevant websites (HSE).
Am I right in saying that refresher training for equipment such as overhead cranes, FLT's is decided by myself (or the company) as I cannot see anything set in stone and the onus is placed on us to ensure competency!
I am in a new job and training was last carried out between 20-25 years ago. I am in the process of bringing this up to date but trying to work out my training budget is difficult as I can't see anything that is set in stone.
thanks

I would think that 20-25yrs is too long of a gap.
Normally, from training providers I have talked to, if you do Fire Warden Training for example, this cert never expires, but it is recommended that you do refresher training within 3 years so you are kept up to date on legislation changes or other changes.
Therefore any training that has been carried out, and is more than 3 years old, I would suggest you get refresher training carried out.
