I have worked for my present employer in civil engineering for 5 years as a QUENSH Advisor, my role within the company included:
To help to ensure that the company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Standards are adhered to within the company. That employees comply with Legislative Requirements and Industry Best Practice.
Main Duties:
• To carry out inspections of site teams, concentrating on health and safety, quality, environmental and occupational health issues.
• To carry out/assist the QUENSH Manager with accident/incident investigations and present the information to the QUENSH Manager
• Assist with the formulation of risk assessments, method statements, safety plans, quality plans, environmental plans (CDM) and other documentation.
• To assist with the implementation of the company integrated management system (health, safety, quality and environment)
• To assist with the certification audits carried out to international standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) and industry standards; Achilles Verify, Link Up, Construction Line, CHAS
• Assist in the formulation of company training plans and the implementation of Investors in People (IIP)
• To advise the company on new and forthcoming legislation in Health, Safety and Environmental Management
• Involvement in safety committees, management/team briefings
• To submit relevant inspection reports to the QUENSH Manager
• To undergo training as directed by or as agreed with the QUENSH Manager
• To carry out drug and alcohol tests on employees
