Does anyone know the date of the latest copy of the Crown Fire Standards CFS). I have to 1999 version and cannot find a newer version on line. It's difficult to implement strategies and compete FRAs using a standard which is 13+ years old and takes no account of the FSO and other changes to FS legislation in that covers NI & Scotland + changes to Building regs (ADB). Lastly, if (as I suspect) the 1999 version of CFS is indeed the current copy, does anyone know if there is going to be a rewrite, and if so, when?? Thanks

Latest updated version is 1999. IMO you do not have to follow or apply CFS. As far as I am aware, all recent fire and indeed safety legislation and associated standards are applicable to Crown premises. In the case of fire safety, the RRFSO is applicable but a modified enforcement is applied. This instruction is set out within the Civil Service Management Code.
