Hi Guy's, Does anyone have a paper or a powerpoint presentation they could let me have, which covers the topic of the real costs of an accident from a financial perspective? If not, guidance as to a specific website, which could supply facts and figures (other than the HSE website) would be a great help. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance Regards Frank

HSE has a publication called "The cost of accidents at work" that should provide you with everything you need. Chris

We did an analysis of costs of a simple accident (FLT driver slipped on vehicle step, banged head, felt giddy and not sure if he lost consciousness, I forget how long off work but >3 days) and put the cost down as £90 000! This included sick pay, hiring a replacement (temp), disrupted deliveries, investigation costs...

Peter When I downloaded it from the HSE website, firstly it was free for anyone to download and secondly there was a statement that it was free to circulate, provided no charge was made. Chris
