I am putting together a presentation for some basic safety training whilst I have all the relevant sections i.e. Housekeeping, Timings, Legislation, Responsibilities it is starting to look very boring with a capital B. By the time I have all the different elements to go through I would have lost my target audience. I do have some media clips to go into the slides but does anyone have any good training ideas to keep their attention.

Presenting information on slides will always be boring and isn't really training at all. It's better to develop one or more exercises that require the trainees to participate. This both engages them and tests them. At a basic level this could be hazard-spotting in pictures, or telling the story of an accident (in pictures) and asking "why did it happen?" or a competitive quiz.
