Hi all

I have the responsibility for fire safety in my region. Lately, I have been coming across business units that are industrial business units, that usually are used for mechanics etc, that have been divided into offices i.e. mezzanine installed and different rooms. I have entered this unit and inspected above the ceiling tiles and there is voids between each room (not each business units as these have been adequately fire stopped).

What would be the recommendations would fellow FR Assessors make? In this particular unit the downstairs is being leased to another company.

As further info, there is self closing doors between each room surrounding the fire exit route but again, voids in the ceiling.

I am throwing this out there without giving my opinion to see what the general thought is.

Thanks
