I have recently been appointed by a housing association who so far have massively underestimated the importance of Health and Safety and as far as i can tell have survived for the past 2 years without a major incident by more luck and an experienced workforce than anything else.
We have a Fire Safety officer who is also an assisstant quantity surveyor (all ready has a busy work schedule) he is very keen on his fire safety duties but from his training records all we have recorded in relation to fire safety is an 'advanced fire and protection course' no details of who issued or delivered the course or if any certification was achieved. (he is currently on leave otherwise I would ask more questions)
We have over 6000 properties including 5 sheltered housing schemes and a number of 3/4 storey blocks of flats and I am quite concerned that he may not have enough training/knowledge - he also feels that he needs extra training.
I am looking at training and would be very appreciative of advice on routes my fellow employe could/should take.
Thanks

Peter.
I would recommend this:

I did Module one of this course and found it to be excellent. Sector specifics can be discussed during the course.

I have no commercial connection with them- just a satisfied customer.
