Can anyone provide the relevant british standard for heat resistant overalls please. They are reqiored in areas where there may be hot pipe work that cannot be cooled down and also for welding

The standard for 'Protective Clothing for Use in Welding and Allied Processes' is BS EN ISO 11611, 2007. This replaced BS EN 470 part 1.

The clothing is designed to protect against spatter (molten droplets of metal) and radiant heat. It does not keep the welder cool, however.
