We often carry out site safety inspections and record them on a paper form. In addition our opertives carry out an inspection BEFORE beginning any work also, and sometimes they can generate several over the period of a long job.
All very good, but now we have mountains of the damned things piling up!
An old question I know, but how long would you keep yours before destroying?

Generally speaking I know a lot of companies have their own policies, I think if I remember rightly CDM states at least 3 months for state dinspections after site is finished.
I believe civil claims have to be made withinn 3 years for physical injury etc and your accident reports would point this risk out generally. You could at say 3 years and 3 months have them archived electronically i.e. scanned.

That was my thoughts too.
Having taken over this role from February I have now got round to looking at these things and I'm finding old site RA and MS etc. going back 12 years!
As far as electronically archiving goes I'm with you on that.
It is the 21st century after all!
Thanks.
