Hi Safetyman

Guidance (some of which may be out of print) includes

HS(G)30 Storage of anhydrous ammonia, HSE 1986

BRE Information Paper IP18/00 Ammonia Refrigerant in Buildings, 2000

Chemical Industries Association RC94 Guidance for the Large Scale Storage of Fully Refrigerated Anhydrous Ammonia, 1997

Safety Code of Practice for Refrigerant Systems - Utilising Refrigerant R-717 (Ammonia), Institute of Refrigerants, 2008

In addition to toxicity, ammonia can be explosible under certain conditions.
