Can anyone advise if there is a course out there on reading plans??
The guys have attended the CAT & GENNY courses but I feel additional training on reading of plans would be useful as plans vary so much.
THanks

Hi
I can see where you are coming from, but personally I tend to take any plans as a figment of a draftsman’s imagination.
I have come across numerous instances of plans having no relationship to what is actually in the ground.

I know what you mean, the majority of plans are useless, but I was hoping that if the mine field of a plan can be properly understood by the operatives then there may be some hope. Different companies use different scales/ layouts etc, and the majority are not even right, you would think in this day and age all such services would be properly recorded.
