More to the point in this day and age how can an organisation loose its IT services/internet services for a week. Where is IOSH's back up plan? Surely the IT geeks can slave in an alternative server for a week? 7Ps come to mind ....

Could it be that IOSH have a server room which maybe a confined space? Maybe with a fire suppression system fitted that needs isolating so that those undertaking the 7 day task don’t get asphyxiated? Maybe there has thus been a decision to switch off the main server and eliminate the risk of fire, which allows the system to be inhibited, which allows the contractor to fit a new server in relative safety. What with IT nowadays staff can easily work on stand-a-lone computers and back up data later. Key staff can still have e-mails etc. And less important stuff such as "the forum site" can be switched off to reduce loading on the slightly weaker back up system. Now I’m not saying that that is the case because I just don’t know, but if it were the case….All I’m saying is that maybe, just maybe someone HAS considered the 6p’s.

Is it too much to hope that, after next week, there might be an edit function?
