So you do not feel you are being ignored. There have been no recorded incidents of either erectors or in the pre self lub days operators falling from a Tower Crane. This is HSE Stats and from CPA Tower Crane Interest Group meetings. Regarding Mobile Cranes they would only be recorded as falls from height as the Operator uses ladders for access and egress. Even if you moved on to the bigger mobile cranes and crawler cranes 250Tonne upwards again if rigging they would be falls from height. Someone else from the Crane industry may having something to share but sorry I cant help. Regards Alex

I a m aware of mobile drivers falling off the bed ... but that needs to be compared against lorry drivers falling off and to be properly consistent perhaps comparing people who shut their finger in a car door
