I was horrified to get a call from a small company I deal with telling me that because the government have relaxed the rules on health and Safety, they no longer have to have risk assessments in place nor do they have to adhere to health and safety legislation any longer! I asked them where they got this from and they said that it was in the Sun newspaper!!!??? I explained to them that that was not the case and that it was, in the main, the inspection regimes by the HSE that were changing and that they still had to provide the relevant H&S to their staff. Has anyone else come across the belief yet?
