I lived there for 2 years and am going again in 5 weeks for a holiday this time. I have looked into this myself- 1)They are in the EU 2) they do not have the same outlook in safety we have 3) they do still have some horrific accidents in their construction industry 4) they do use a lot of external labour 5) you have to communicate in Greek Try the Cyprus mail for news on accidents and their ads for jobs http://www.cyprus-mail.com/ Saying that if your dreams do take off give me a shout and I will pack my bags for the next flight. I love the place

I had a three day job out there about 3 months ago. It was hot - very hot. The power supply was unreliable and the AC failed twice on the first day and packed up altogether on the second day. Not much fun in 42C I wasn't too impressed by their H&S - well, fire safety - attitude, or their weather (did I mention it was hot?)
