Hello,
In our food process we have to lift steel buckets which can weigh as much as 30kg. Again during this lift in majority of cases we then have to lift the product into equipment which can be above most people's chest height/shoulder height (not ideal for sure).
Does anyone know of any lifting aids out there for steel buckets which contain liquids (food liquid only).
I have gone through all the..... ensuring 2 people lift each time and trying to split the load but this is not always practicable in this environment.
Thanks very much for your help Katie

Instead of lifting the buckets has anyone thought of using a pump system for transfering their liquid contents?
This suggestion is based on one of the 40 scenarios summarised in the document produced by Prospect, a trade union whose members include HSE inspectors, to mark the 40th anniversary of the publication of the Robens Report. Have a look for the forum thread entitled "40@40" posted a few months ago by NigelB.
