Does anyone have any information with regards to warming plates? we are looking to install these to be fitted flush in a work surface in our hospitality suties for the service of hot food. With the intetion to maintain the food in a hot state for a period of time.
My main conern is the plate being warm when the serving dishes are not covering the plate as it mkaintains a temperature of 72 degrees. I was wondering if anyone had something similar or had encountered any infomation on this.
I am just concerned about one of our paying guests placing a hand on the plate while it is warm.

Serves them right then! Seriously!
Where do we stop? Has to be some recognition of personal responsibility?
I'd stick some nice and neat warning labels on adjacent to the plate and include a note in the information pack / documents for whoever is using the room, and leave it at that.

Its nornal practice in catering where hot surfaces are concerned to train staff to replace containers with full ones or pur a lid on empy containers to prevent customers getting burnt, Risk assessment and mitigation should point you in this direction
