Good morning all, I have been asked to do a RA for using a 1.5t hoist for loading materials on site. We will also be using strapping for the lifts. Has any of you done one before and can offer any advice?

Thanks in advance

Tillie

You need to be very careful in these operations. A 'standard' or generic RA won't do as it will have to be tailored to the types of loads and equipment.
e.g If the load was to fall what could be the result? Is it hazardous substances or bricks?
Is the hoist manual operated or electric or hydraulic?

Bit more detail and maybe I can help?

PM me if you want my email address.

If you google" L.O.L.E.R lifting plan template ", it will help.

As this comes under LOLER would lifting plan be required ? It seems overkill but we have completed these for hoist, that way you can deal with typical loads that re to be lifted
