Hi all

I have works which are due to start shortly on a fire suppression system. I have a new contractor which we have just taken on ready to complete these works which say they are competent to carry such works. The system itself is fed by to pressurised bottles which are activated by a fire pin.

Would anyone in this community be so kind and direct me as to what credentials I should be looking for both the contractor and the engineer conducting the works please?

Additional info, the works consist of removing the bottles which contain the fire suppression gas and testing the system and then re-attaching new bottles.

Any input would be very much appreciated.......

Hi David

So far I have sourced the follwoing: All contracors should be 3rd party certificated to either BAFE (SP203 Part 3) or Lost Prevention Certification Board (LPS 1204).

Engineers working for these organisations the 3rd party certificated companies require F-Gas Certification if working with any type of F-Gas such as FM200.

If anyone has any further information I should be aware of I would appreciate any further input.

Thanks
