fire evacuation procedures in bed and breakfast

Hi all - your guidance eon this appreciated. Bed and breakfast to open in the upper level of a gold club. Conversion currently taking place through contractors. Once completed, the club house will not be manned by staff therefore leaving the bed and breakfast customers alone in the club house at night. Whilst the plan of course to ensure all the necessary regulation requirements re fire alarms, smoke alarms etc - any advice regarding evacuation procedures when there is no way we can ensure the customers leave the site in the event of alarm activation? there is currently a set up where the fire alarm automatically links to fire brigade.

A link to fire brigade is no guarantee of their attendance without telephone confirmation. Can the guests be relied upon to call FB when in a bit of a panic?
I wouldn't mind being locked inside a club house as long as I have access to the bar.

You mean you would try and drink as much of the alcohol as possible in order to prevent it catching fire. I think that is very public spirited of you, putting your own safety at risk in order to help others. Sorry Daisy back to your thread now !

As already pointed out by Firesafety101 an auto-dialler does not mean the fire brigade will attend; I think different brigades have different rules.
In my area they will not attend auto call outs between 07:00 and 19:00 unless the call monitoring center fails to make contact with the site where the alarm has activated, or of course an employee has phoned 999. They will however attend during out of office hours (19:01 – 06:59). Different rules with regards to sleeping accommodation however.
All down to the………………wait for it…………………..Fire Risk Assessment; which should take into account what the local brigade will do with regards to auto call outs
