I am trying to locate a product called an electrical safety shroud - it may of course go by another name. It consists of a sheet of clear insulating material (insulated up to 1kv) which can be used to cover over live components during live work such as taking measurements and fault finding for which the supply is required. It is held in place by clips similar to clothes pegs - again all insulated. The idea is that if someone is working on one area of a largish control panel then those areas not being looked at can be covered thereby preventing inadvertent contact. This device would be used to supplement other live working controls and it would only be used by a trained and competent bod while he is at work. Anyone know of anything Thanks in anticipation

Thats it Mike - exactly. I was aware of that product but I'm looking for an alternative supplier.

It looks like a blue plastic bag with halfords spring clamps. Perhaps some of the electrical suppliers/wholesalers or a sparkies shop can search in your area for a suitable alternative. Sorry, if I sounded obvious and if you have already tried that route.
