Gotta be quick to catch me ;-) I wonder if there are other up-t-date surveys available, I know that IIRSM conducted one at somepoint.

Within the University Sector a safety professional heading up a safety office would expect a salary of 45 k upwards. For others working within such a department the salary would be very dependent on qualifications and experience. I might add that for a position in a university safety office membership of IOSH may well not be required as other criteria such as a first degree or PhD in Biology or Physics might be an essential requirement for the position.

If the Mods will allow this, A range of safety related positions, in the HE Sector can be seen at www.jobs.ac.uk together with job descriptions, expected experience and salary.
