Hi All

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I am currently unemployed and looking to gain further experience in the health & safety industry.

At present, I have the Nebosh General Certificate, a CIEH Professional Trainer's Certificate and have just completed the Nebosh Fire Certificate.

I am retaking NGC 1 in March 2013, as I did mine 10 years ago and then plan to take the Nebosh Construction Certificate, then probably take Nebosh Diploma.

I have worked in an Environmental Health Dept of a local authority carrying out inspections under HASAW, conducting incident & accident investigations, enforcement actions, advice and guidance, and I have for nearly 11 years worked in Higher Education as a lecturer in law ( I have a Masters degree in law) and also as Faculty Health & Safety Officer, where I was responsible for all of the above, plus H & S policies, risk assessments, etc.

Basically, I am looking to gain some further experience of health & safety in a manufacturing environment & the food industry and would be willing to work (for free) for a week or so helping out with health & safety in both of these industries, either by assisting the existing inhouse health & safety dept or helping a small/medium sized company with health & safety who do not currently employ specific health & safety staff.

I would be interested to hear members views on this idea and consider any offers of work experience that might be available, preferably in the South Wales/South West area.

Many thanks to all and of course have a good Christmas,

Best wishes

Doug
