I'm curious. Why would you do a risk assessment of welfare facilities? I can see the point in inspecting them to check they are OK but what will a risk assessment achieve?

Hi Kate, It is not a matter of inspecting it is a matter of evaluation the taype and adequacy of welfare facilities in place vs the number of occupants and activities and the hazard raising from not providing the adequate and proper facilities. N.B. The premises is outside the UK and there is no specific regulation.

Have to agree with Kate - surely you are doing a 'needs' or 'best practice' evaluation. Risk assessment the answer to everything!!! NOT

I agree with JJ - that is a needs assessment, not a risk assessment. Two completely different things. A risk assessment of welfare facilities would be about the risks caused by the facilities, not the problems caused by not having them. Surely it's more a matter of comfort and decency than of hazard?

You could always try the workplace regulations, if gives most of the information I think you are looking for. I know it's not the UK but always good for a starter.
