Hi all, Am I right in thinking the following: Appointed Person plans the lift, select the lifting equipment, i.e crane, telehandler, selects the lifting accessories, i.e webbing slings, chains etc, compiles the lifting plan & MS / RA. Lifting supervisor, as described. Supervises the lift, position the lifting equipment as set out on the lifting plan, uses the specified lifting accessories and details the MS / RA & lifting plan to others. Slinger / signallers carry out operation as detailed by the above. Am I also right in thinking the SS is responsible for attaching the accessories and directing the crane? The ambiguity is with the lift supervisor. My understanding is to correctly follow all acts / legislation all lifting operations must have 1 of these ? Can anyone confirm this ?
