Is there such a thing as a 110v Class 1 tool? I am asking because i have just looked some examples and it states that they could be kettles and irons etc. Are there any sparks out there?

Yes there can be.
Class 1 is defined by exposed conductive parts connected to earth.
So yes it is, possible.
Why do you ask, where were you looking at examples?

Many moons ago we used to use metal cased 110v drills on-site. (when Paul was a little egg and just before he hatched out to become a first rate spark) As far as I can recall this was class 1
