Morning all,

We intend to remove asbestos from a project in around 20 weeks time. Surveys are complete and we are programming the works.

An ASB5 notification must take place 14 days ina dvance of removal works commencing.

My question is if anyone knows any reason not to submit the ASB5 well in advance say 2-3 months prior to works commencing.

You are correct in stating that an ASB5 Notification must be submitted a minimum of 14 days prior to the commencement on site.

However, this is for the Licensed Contractor to submit, not the client or other parties..

Submitting too early can lead to problems as "Actual Start Date Of Set Up On Site" and"Expected Finish Date Of Work" have to provided.

If you require additional information, send me a PM.
